As a mom, I am always looking for fun, affordable, bonding experiences I can share with my kids. The sight of the sweet smile on my children faces brightens even the rainiest of days. One of our favorite things to do together is getting pampered. 

 

A few years back, I woke up in the middle of the night from a very vivid dream. That dream kept reoccurring the following three nights. In this dream, I saw smiles, bright colors, lollipops, sweets and happiness all over. By the third night, I KNEW what I had to do, so I enrolled at a Nail School in New Iberia.

 

The challenges then were many, but my dream and my desire to make this dream a reality was stronger. At the time, I had no job and money was tight. I spoke with the school and they agreed to work with me to get going. With the spark strong within me, I got to work and focused on learning all I could about the nail business.

 

Not long after I finished my studies, I set to open my first place, “Twisted Color Nail Bar”. Once I opened, the people and money arrived at just the right time. I started to notice that not only were adults coming, but kids. In fact, the kids showed so much interest that I put together some kids activities into my services. Kids particularly LOVED the spa parties.

 

It was then that another spark went off in my head and I began to delve deep into the world of kids spas. I took my girls to Wolfe Creek Lodge in Grapevine, Tx. There we found a spa that catered only to kids. My girls loved it! They were provided with their own robes to wear during their spa day and were pampered the entire time. They came out of there with the biggest smiles on their faces and chocolate-scented hair! My dream was slowly evolving into reality.

 

That did it! On April 2016, I signed the lease for our current location and our doors opened on June 15th. Our services are set up for both girls and boys and we offer a variety of products, parties and activities. We look forward to seeing you swing by our Yummiland!
